Rayleigh Chambers, 2011

The project Rayleigh Chambers consists of a transformation of five glass boxes located in Skive, Denmark. Based on the consideration of photography defined as curbed light mounted on a surface and thus made visible, the intention is to transform the five boxes into spatial photographs, with a surface structure referring to the grains in celluloid. Colored light has been installed inside the boxes and due to surrounding ambient light, the color shifts from almost invisible to highly contrasty and is thus constantly in sync with the surroundings.
